Bellows Globe Valve PN16
Bellows Globe Valve PN16 is a type of globe valve equipped with a bellows seal and designed for a pressure rating of PN16, meaning it can operate at a nominal pressure of 16 bar (1.6 MPa or ~232 psi).
Component
1. Globe Valve
- Used to control fluid flow, either for on/off purposes or throttling (flow regulation).
- It uses a disc that moves up and down to open or close the flow path through the valve seat.
2. Bellows Seal
- A metallic flexible seal (often made of stainless steel) welded between the valve stem and the body.
- It provides a hermetic (leak-proof) seal to prevent fluid leakage through the stem.
- Especially useful for handling toxic, hazardous, or volatile media, and for fugitive emission control (preventing small gas leaks to the atmosphere).
3. PN16
- Refers to the Pressure Nominal rating. PN16 means the valve is suitable for up to 16 bar working pressure.
- This rating is based on European/DIN standards, commonly used in industrial piping systems.
