JIS Ball Valve
JIS Ball Valve is a type of ball valve that is manufactured according to JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) the official industrial standard system of Japan. These valves are used to start or stop fluid flow using a hollow, rotating ball, and are common in piping systems that require compliance with Japanese specifications.
Component
1. Ball Valve
- A valve with a spherical ball that has a hole through the center.
- When the hole is aligned with the pipeline, the valve is open; when turned 90°, it is closed.
- Known for quick operation, tight sealing, and durability.
2. JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards)
- A set of standards for dimensions, pressure ratings, flanges, materials, and testing.
- Pressure ratings are typically labeled as JIS 5K, 10K, 20K, where “K” indicates kg/cm² of nominal pressure (e.g., 10K ≈ 10 bar).
